2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 tbsp ground cinnamon

Instructions:


1. Prepare the Cake:

Preheat your oven to 350F 175C. Grease and flour an 8×8-inch baking pan.

In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

In another bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract. Gradually mix in dry ingredients, alternating with buttermilk, until well combined.

2. Cinnamon Filling:

Combine brown sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl.

3. Layer and Bake:

Pour half the batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the top. Cover with the remaining batter and swirl gently with a knife for a marbled effect.

Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.

4. Make the Cream Topping:

Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth. Slowly add heavy cream and vanilla extract, beating until fluffy.

5. Assemble:

Spread the cream topping evenly over the cooled cake. Garnish with a dusting of cinnamon and whole cinnamon sticks for decoration.
