Pan-Seared Steak with Garlic Butter and Roasted Potatoes 凜
Ingredients:
For the Steak:
2 ribeye or sirloin steaks about 1 inch thick 數
2 tablespoons olive oil 㮝
2 tablespoons unsalted butter 杻
3 garlic cloves, minced 龍
3 sprigs of fresh thyme
Salt and black pepper to taste 蓼
For the Potatoes:
500g baby potatoes, halved 凜
2 tablespoons olive oil 㮝
1 teaspoon garlic powder 龍
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Salt and black pepper to taste 蓼

Instructions:
1 Prepare the Potatoes:
1. Preheat your oven to 200C 400F.
2. Toss the halved potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
3. Spread them out on a baking tray in a single layer.
4. Roast for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
2 Cook the Steak:
1. Let the steaks sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before cooking.
2. Pat the steaks dry with a paper towel and season generously with salt and pepper.
3. Heat a heavy skillet preferably cast iron over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
4. Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust to your desired doneness.
5. In the last minute, add butter, minced garlic, and thyme to the pan. Baste the steaks with the melted butter using a spoon.
3 Serve:
1. Remove the steaks from the pan and let them rest for 5 minutes.
2. Plate the steak slices alongside the roasted potatoes.
3. Garnish with additional fresh thyme and a drizzle of the pan juices.
