Butterfinger Caramel Crunch Bars
Ingredients
For the Base:
1 package 12 oz chocolate graham crackers or plain graham crackers, crushed into fine crumbs
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
For the Filling:
1 cup caramel sauce
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
For the Topping:
1 1/2 cups Butterfinger candy bars, crushed about 45 bars
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Directions
Prepare the Crust:
In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Stir until evenly coated. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased or parchment-lined 9×9-inch pan. Place in the refrigerator to chill for 1015 minutes.
Make the Filling:
In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the caramel sauce, peanut butter, and sweetened condensed milk. Stir until the mixture is smooth and slightly thickened about 34 minutes. Pour the filling evenly over the chilled crust and spread it out with a spatula. Return the pan to the fridge to set for about 20 minutes.
Add the Topping:
Sprinkle the crushed Butterfinger candy bars evenly over the caramel layer.
Melt the Chocolate:
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and vegetable oil. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring each time, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth. Drizzle the melted chocolate evenly over the top of the Butterfinger layer.
Chill and Set:
Cover the pan and refrigerate for at least 12 hours, or until the bars are firm.
Slice and Serve:
Once set, cut the bars into squares. Serve chilled for the perfect caramel crunch experience!
