Mushroom Beef Casserole

Ingredients:

– 1 onion, finely chopped

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 pound ground beef

– 1 can 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup

– 1 cup beef broth

– 2 cups mushrooms, sliced

– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

– 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

– Salt and pepper to taste

– 1 cup cooked egg noodles or rice optional

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.


2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.

3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the onion becomes translucent and fragrant.

4. Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook until they soften, about 5 minutes.

5. Mix in the cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Combine everything well.

6. If using, fold in the cooked egg noodles or rice in the mixture.

7. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.

8. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.

9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

10. Allow to cool for a few minutes, serve hot, and enjoy!
