Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich

Ingredients:

500g thinly sliced beef steak

1 large onion, thinly sliced

1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced optional

4 slices provolone cheese

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp butter

2 hoagie rolls or baguettes


1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp black pepper

Salt to taste

Instructions:

1. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add onions and bell peppers if using and cook until caramelized. Remove and set aside.

2. In the same skillet, heat the remaining olive oil and cook the thinly sliced beef steak. Season with garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Cook until browned.

3. Lower the heat, place the provolone cheese slices over the cooked beef, and let it melt.

4. Toast the hoagie rolls or baguettes lightly, then fill them with the beef and melted cheese mixture.

5. Top with caramelized onions and serve immediately. Enjoy your hearty Philly Cheesesteak!
