Orange Almond Biscotti
Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour1 tsp baking powder1/4 tsp salt3/4 cup granulated sugar1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened2 large eggs1 tsp vanilla extract1 tsp orange zest1/2 tsp almond extract1/2 cup sliced almonds
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350F 175C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Stir in vanilla extract, almond extract, and orange zest.Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir in sliced almonds until evenly distributed.Divide the dough into two logs on the prepared baking sheet and flatten slightly.Bake for 25-30 minutes, then let cool for 5-10 minutes. Slice the logs diagonally into biscotti pieces.Arrange slices back on the baking sheet and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes until crisp.
