Cheeseburger Meatloaf: A Comfort Food Classic with a Twist!

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper


2 large eggs, beaten

1/4 cup ketchup for topping

1 tablespoon prepared mustard for topping

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350F 175C. Lightly grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Mix the Meatloaf: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, shredded Cheddar cheese, chopped onion, crushed saltine crackers, 1/4 cup ketchup, 2 tablespoons mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and beaten eggs. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

Form the Meatloaf: Press half of the meat mixture into the prepared loaf pan. Create a slight well in the center and add an extra layer of shredded cheese if desired, then top with the remaining meat mixture. Press it down firmly and smooth the top.

Add the Topping: In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup ketchup and 1 tablespoon mustard. Spread this mixture evenly over the top of the meatloaf.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and a thermometer inserted in the center reads 160F 70C. Let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes before slicing.
