Chili Beef Noodles
Ingredients:
– 8 ounces rice noodles
– 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
– 1 pound ground beef
– 4 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
– 1/4 cup soy sauce
– 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
– 1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce
– 1 tablespoon sesame oil
– 1 teaspoon sugar
– 1/2 cup green onions, sliced for garnish
– Sesame seeds for garnish
– Fresh cilantro, chopped for garnish
Directions:
1. Cook the Noodles: Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook the rice noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. Cook the Beef: In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
3. Add Aromatics: Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the beef and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
4. Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, chili garlic sauce, sesame oil, and sugar. Pour the sauce over the cooked beef, stirring to combine.
5. Toss with Noodles: Add the cooked noodles to the skillet with the beef and toss everything together, making sure the noodles are fully coated in the sauce.
6. Serve: Divide the chili beef noodles into bowls and garnish with sliced green onions, sesame seeds, and fresh cilantro. Enjoy!
