Classic Creamy Cheesecake
Ingredients:
For the Crust:
1 cups graham cracker crumbs about 10 full graham crackers
cup granulated sugar
cup unsalted butter, melted
For the Cheesecake Filling:
4 packages 8 oz each cream cheese, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 large eggs
cup sour cream
cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
Directions:
Prepare the Crust: Preheat your oven to 325F 165C. In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and sugar, then stir in the melted butter until well mixed. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan, creating an even layer. Bake for 10 minutes, then let it cool.
Make the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and fluffy. Add sugar and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing on low speed until just combined after each addition.
Add Sour Cream and Cream: Gently mix in the sour cream, heavy cream, and flour until the batter is smooth and creamy, being careful not to overmix.
Bake the Cheesecake: Pour the cheesecake batter over the cooled crust. Place the pan on a baking sheet and bake for 60-70 minutes, or until the center is slightly jiggly but set around the edges.
Cool and Chill: Turn off the oven, crack the door slightly, and let the cheesecake cool in the oven for 1 hour. Afterward, refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
Serve: Remove the cheesecake from the springform pan and slice into pieces. Top with your favorite toppings such as fresh berries, whipped cream, or a drizzle of caramel sauce if desired. Enjoy!
