Baked Jamaican Jerk Chicken
Ingredients:
2 lbs chicken
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons Jamaican jerk seasoning
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon honey optional, for a hint of sweetness
Directions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400F 200C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Coat the Chicken:
In a large bowl, toss the chicken with olive oil until its evenly coated.
Mix the Seasonings:
In a separate bowl, combine the Jamaican jerk seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried thyme, and black pepper.
Season the Chicken:
Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the chicken and toss to ensure its thoroughly coated.
Arrange on Baking Sheet:
Place the seasoned chicken in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake:
Bake for 50 minutes, turning the chicken halfway through, until its crispy and fully cooked.
