Warm Brie Bread Bowl with Cranberry & Thyme 燎
This warm and melty brie bread bowl, topped with sweet cranberry sauce and fresh thyme, is the perfect appetizer for any gathering. Its easy to make, beautifully rustic, and irresistibly delicious!
Ingredients:
1 round loaf of rustic bread bread boule
1 wheel of brie about 12 oz
cup whole berry cranberry sauce
2 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt, to taste
Fresh ground pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350F 175C.
Prepare the Bread:
Cut off the top quarter of the bread loaf. Place the brie in the center of the bread and trace around it to form a circle. Hollow out the center of the bread to fit the brie.
Create Pull-Apart Sections:
Around the edge of the loaf, cut slits about 1.5 inches apart, making sure not to cut all the way through to the bottom. This creates easy pull-apart pieces for serving.
Season the Bread:
Brush the inside of the hollowed-out bread with olive oil, then season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle half of the thyme leaves inside.
Add Brie and Cranberry Sauce:
Place the brie in the center of the bread bowl. Top with cranberry sauce and the remaining thyme.
Bake the Brie:
Replace the top of the bread and place the loaf on a foil- or parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the brie is melted and the bread is crispy and warm.
Serve:
Serve immediately. For extra dippable bites, toast the bread pieces you removed from the center and offer them alongside the warm brie bowl.
Enjoy this crowd-pleasing appetizer as a cozy, festive snack!
