Oven Apple Wedge Fries with Caramel Cream Dipping Sauce
Ingredients:
2 apples
tablespoon margarine or butter
A pinch of cinnamon
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
teaspoon ground cinnamon
For the Dipping Sauce:
8 oz whipped cream
cup caramel sauce
Directions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375F 190C.
Prepare the Apples:
Peel the apples if desired, then cut them into wedges about inch thick, resembling fries.
Coat the Apple Wedges:
In a small bowl, melt the margarine or butter. Toss the apple wedges in the melted butter to coat them evenly.
Add Cinnamon:
Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon over the apples and toss again to ensure they are well covered.
Bake the Apple Fries:
Spread the apple wedges on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for about 10 minutes, turning them halfway through for even cooking.
Prepare the Cinnamon-Sugar Mixture:
While the apples are baking, combine the 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar with teaspoon of ground cinnamon in a small bowl and set aside.
Finish the Apple Wedges:
Once the apple fries are out of the oven and still warm, sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over them.
Make the Dipping Sauce:
In a separate bowl, gently fold the caramel sauce into the whipped cream until fully combined.
Serve:
Serve the warm apple wedges on a platter alongside the creamy caramel dipping sauce.
