Cheesy Texas Trash Dip
Ingredients:
1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
1 16 oz can refried beans
1 1 oz packet taco seasoning mix
2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese, divided
1 cup shredded Pepper Jack cheese
1 4 oz can diced green chilies, drained
Optional Toppings: Sliced green onions, diced tomatoes, chopped cilantro, jalapeño slices
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and lightly grease an 8×8-inch baking dish or similar-sized dish.
Mix the Ingredients:
In a large bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, sour cream, refried beans, taco seasoning, 1 cup of the Mexican blend cheese, and the Pepper Jack cheese. Add in the diced green chilies and stir until fully combined.
Assemble the Dip:
Spread the dip mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
Add Cheese Topping:
Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of Mexican blend cheese on top of the dip.
Bake:
Place the dish in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, until the dip is hot, bubbly, and the cheese is melted to perfection.
Garnish and Serve:
Add any desired toppings, such as sliced green onions, diced tomatoes, chopped cilantro, or jalapeño slices. Serve warm with tortilla chips for dipping.
