2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

1 large egg

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 tbsp orange zest about 1 large orange

3 tbsp fresh orange juice

1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips

Instructions:

Preheat and Prepare:

Preheat your oven to 350F 175C. Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.

Mix the Dry Ingredients:

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

Cream the Butter and Sugars:

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

Add the egg and vanilla extract, beating until well combined.

Add the Orange Flavor:

Mix in the orange zest and fresh orange juice until the mixture is fragrant and evenly combined.

Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:

Gradually add the dry flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Gently fold in the white chocolate chips.

Shape the Cookies:

Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough and place them onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake:

Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers look set. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
