A CINNAMON ROLL IN CAKE FORM

Ingredients:

For the Cake Batter:

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

4 tsp baking powder

1 cups milk

2 large eggs

2 tsp vanilla extract

For the Cinnamon Swirl:

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup light brown sugar, packed

2 tbsp all-purpose flour

1 tbsp ground cinnamon

For the Glaze:

2 cups powdered sugar

5 tbsp milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:


Prepare the Batter:

Preheat your oven to 350F 175C. Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Add the milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter to the dry ingredients. Mix until smooth and well combined.

Pour the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.

Make the Cinnamon Swirl:

In a separate bowl, combine the softened butter, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Mix until smooth and creamy.

Drop spoonfuls of the cinnamon mixture over the cake batter. Use a knife to swirl the cinnamon mixture gently through the batter, creating a marbled effect.

Bake the Cake:

Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Prepare the Glaze:

In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Add the Glaze:

While the cake is still warm, drizzle the glaze evenly over the top, letting it soak into the cake for a moist, sweet finish.

Serve:

Allow the cake to cool slightly, then cut into squares and enjoy your cinnamon roll-inspired dessert!
