Cheesecake Stuffed Baked Apples
These Cheesecake Stuffed Baked Apples are a delightful twist on traditional baked apples, combining the creamy richness of cheesecake with the natural sweetness of apples. They make for a perfect fall dessert or a cozy treat any time of the year.
Ingredients:
4 large apples
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
1/4 cup melted butter
Caramel sauce, for drizzling
Whipped cream, for serving
Directions:
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350F 180C.
Prepare the Apples: Cut off the tops of the apples and carefully hollow out the cores with a spoon, creating a well for the cheesecake filling. Be sure not to cut through the bottom of the apples.
Make the Cheesecake Filling: In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg until smooth and creamy.
Fill the Apples: Spoon the cheesecake mixture into each hollowed-out apple, mounding it slightly on top.
Add Graham Cracker Topping: In a separate bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs with melted butter until combined. Sprinkle this mixture over the tops of the cheesecake-filled apples.
Bake the Apples: Place the filled apples in a baking dish and add a small amount of water to the bottom of the dish to prevent sticking. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the cheesecake filling is set.
Serve Warm: Remove the apples from the oven and let them cool slightly. Drizzle with caramel sauce and serve with a dollop of whipped cream on top.
Enjoy: Indulge in these warm, comforting, and decadent Cheesecake Stuffed Baked Apples!
