Aurora Borealis Christmas Cocoa
Ingredients:
4 cups milk or dairy-free alternative
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Gel food coloring blue, purple, pink, and green
1/2 tsp edible glitter or shimmer powder silver or pearl
Whipped cream for topping
Edible star-shaped sprinkles for garnish
Directions:
Heat the Milk:
In a medium saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until warm but not boiling. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.
Melt the Chocolate:
Add the white chocolate chips to the warm milk, whisking constantly until completely melted and smooth.
Add Vanilla:
Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt to enhance the creamy flavor.
Divide and Color:
Divide the cocoa into four small bowls or cups. Add a drop of gel food coloring to each bowl blue, purple, pink, and green and stir until the colors are vibrant.
Create the Swirl:
Pour the colored cocoa back into the pot one color at a time, alternating to create a layered effect. Gently swirl with a spoon or skewer to achieve a marbled, aurora-like design without fully blending the colors.
Add the Glitter:
Stir in the edible glitter or shimmer powder for a glowing, magical effect.
Serve:
Pour the cocoa into clear mugs to showcase the swirling, multicolored design.
Garnish:
Top each mug with whipped cream and sprinkle edible star-shaped sprinkles for a celestial finish.
Enjoy:
Sip this mesmerizing, dreamy cocoa while marveling at its beautyperfect for a magical winter night.
Optional Tip:
For extra enchantment, rim the mugs with colored sugar or edible glitter before pouring in the cocoa. Brush the rim with honey or syrup, then dip it into the sugar or glitter for a sparkling touch.
