The Best Ever Classic Jewish Noodle Kugel
Ingredients:
12 oz egg noodles, cooked and drained
4 large eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup cottage cheese
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup raisins optional
1/4 cup breadcrumbs optional for topping
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350F 175C. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Add sour cream, cottage cheese, and melted butter, stirring to combine.
Stir in the cooked noodles and raisins if using. Mix until noodles are evenly coated.
Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly. If desired, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top for a crisp topping.
Bake for 45-55 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the kugel is set.
Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
