Black Forest Cookies with Cherries and Chocolate

Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped maraschino cherries, drained
1/2 cup powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat Oven and Prep Baking Sheet
Preheat your oven to 350F 175C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
Step 2: Cream Butter and Sugars
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
Step 3: Add Wet Ingredients
Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
Step 4: Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
