Toffee Crunch Tree Cookies
Ingredients
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
籠 1/2 tsp baking soda
蓼 1/4 tsp salt
杻 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup granulated sugar
讀 1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup toffee bits
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips optional
Green food coloring
Christmas tree-shaped cookie cutters
Instructions
1. 北 Preheat your oven to 350F 175C. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
3. 杻 In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
4. 讀 Mix in egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
5. Add green food coloring until the dough reaches the desired tree color. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
6. Fold in toffee bits and mini chocolate chips.
7. Roll out the dough to 1/4-inch thickness on a floured surface. Use tree-shaped cookie cutters to cut out cookies.
8. Place cookies on the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
9. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Cool on a wire rack.
Optional Decoration:
Drizzle with melted chocolate or sprinkle extra toffee bits on top.
