Instructions:
Prepare the Base Mixture:
In a blender, combine vanilla ice cream, milk, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.
Divide the milkshake mixture equally into 5 bowls.
Color the Layers:
Add a few drops of pink food coloring to the first bowl, orange to the second, yellow to the third, green to the fourth, and blue to the fifth.
Mix each bowl thoroughly to achieve vibrant colors.
Layer the Milkshake:
Pour the pink mixture into a tall glass as the first layer. Freeze for 10-15 minutes to set.
Carefully pour the orange mixture on top of the pink, then freeze again. Repeat the process with yellow, green, and blue layers, freezing between each addition to maintain separation.
Prepare the Whipped Cream:
In a chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
Assemble the Milkshake:
Once the final layer is set, top the milkshake with a generous swirl of whipped cream.
Decorate:
Sprinkle rainbow sprinkles and mini candy pearls over the whipped cream.
Insert a striped straw for a festive touch.
Serve and Enjoy:
Serve immediately with a spoon or straw and enjoy your vibrant rainbow milkshake!
Tips:
For a fun twist, try adding different flavored extracts to each color layer e.g., strawberry, orange, lemon, mint.
To ensure smooth layering, gently pour each layer over the back of a spoon to avoid mixing the colors.
