Vibrant Red and Blue Layered Frozen Cocktail
Ingredients:
For the Blue Layer:
1 cups chilled Sprite
cup vodka plain or blue raspberry-flavored
cup sugar
teaspoon Blue Raspberry Lemonade Drink Mix
3 cups crushed ice
4 drops neon blue food coloring
For the Red Layer:
1 cups chilled Sprite
cup white rum or cherry-flavored vodka for more sweetness
cup sugar
teaspoon Cherry Drink Mix
3 cups crushed ice
4 drops red food coloring
Garnish:
Blue sanding sugar
Simple syrup
Fun decorative drink stirrer or small, festive decorative items optional
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Glasses:
Dip the rims of your cocktail glasses into simple syrup, then into blue sanding sugar to create a colorful decorative edge. Set the glasses aside.
2. Create the Blue Slush:
In a blender, combine the following:
1 cups chilled Sprite
cup vodka
cup sugar
teaspoon Blue Raspberry Lemonade Drink Mix
4 drops neon blue food coloring
3 cups crushed ice
Blend until the mixture becomes slushy.
Pour the blue slush into a pitcher and place it in the freezer while preparing the red layer.
3. Create the Red Slush:
Rinse the blender to prevent color mixing.
Combine the following in the blender:
1 cups chilled Sprite
cup white rum
cup sugar
teaspoon Cherry Drink Mix
4 drops red food coloring
3 cups crushed ice
Blend until slushy.
4. Assemble the Drink:
Retrieve the blue slush from the freezer.
In each prepared glass, alternate layers by pouring about of the glass with blue slush, followed by with red slush. Repeat the layers until the glass is full, creating a striking red and blue layered effect.
5. Garnish and Serve:
Top each drink with a fun decorative stirrer or any small, festive decoration of your choice.
