Chocolate Lava M&M Surprise Cookies Ingredients:

Chocolate Lava M&M Surprise Cookies

Ingredients:

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 1/2 cup granulated sugar

– 1/2 cup brown sugar

– 1 large egg

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

– 1/3 cup cocoa powder

– 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

– 1 cup chocolate hazelnut spread like Nutella

– 1/2 cup M&M candies

Directions:

1. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms. Fold in the mini chocolate chips.

3. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of dough and flatten it slightly in your hand. Add a small dollop about 1 teaspoon of chocolate hazelnut spread in the center, then press a few M&M candies on top of the spread. Cover with another small piece of dough, sealing the edges to encase the filling. Roll into a smooth ball and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining dough.

4. Chill the stuffed cookie dough balls in the refrigerator for 20 minutes. Preheat your oven to 350F 175C.

5. Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the tops look slightly cracked. Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

6. Serve warm for a gooey, lava-like surprise in the center, or enjoy at room temperature.
