Dill Pickle Hot Sauce

Add a tangy and spicy kick to your dishes with this unique Dill Pickle Hot Sauce! Combining the zesty flavor of dill pickles with the heat of jalapeños, this sauce is perfect for enhancing burgers, tacos, fries, and more.

Ingredients:

1 cup dill pickle juice

cup white vinegar

cup water

4-6 jalapeño peppers, seeds removed for less heat

cup chopped dill pickles

2 cloves garlic

1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped

1 teaspoon sugar

teaspoon salt

teaspoon black pepper

Directions:

Prepare the Ingredients: Slice the jalapeño peppers, removing seeds if a milder sauce is desired. Chop the dill pickles and garlic.

Blend: In a blender or food processor, combine the dill pickle juice, white vinegar, water, sliced jalapeños, chopped dill pickles, garlic, fresh dill, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth. For a chunkier texture, pulse the ingredients instead of fully blending.

Cook the Sauce: Pour the blended mixture into a medium-sized saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. Once boiling, reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes to develop flavors and slightly thicken the sauce.

Strain Optional: Remove from heat and let cool slightly. For a smooth consistency, strain the sauce through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a bowl, pressing down on the solids to extract as much liquid as possible. Skip this step if a chunkier texture is preferred.

Bottle the Sauce: Using a funnel, carefully pour the sauce into sterilized bottles or jars. Seal tightly.

Cool and Store: Allow the sauce to cool to room temperature before storing in the refrigerator. The sauce can be kept for up to 3 months, with flavors intensifying over time.
