2 cups honeydew melon, peeled and cubed

1/4 cup fresh mint leaves

1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice

1/4 cup agave syrup or simple syrup

1 cup tequila preferably blanco or silver

1/4 cup orange liqueur Cointreau or Triple Sec

Ice cubes for shaking and serving

Extra mint sprigs for garnish

Honeydew melon slices for garnish

Salt or sugar optional, for rimming the glass

Directions:

1 Prepare the Honeydew and Mint:

Peel and cube the honeydew melon.


Blend the melon cubes and fresh mint leaves until smooth, forming a honeydew-mint puree.

If the mixture is too thick, add a splash of water to help it blend smoothly.

2 Mix the Margarita:

In a cocktail shaker, combine the honeydew-mint puree, lime juice, agave syrup, tequila, and orange liqueur.

Fill the shaker with ice cubes, close tightly, and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until well chilled.

3 Prepare the Glasses Optional:

Run a lime wedge along the rim of each glass.

Dip the rim into salt or sugar for added flavor and presentation.

4 Strain and Serve:

Strain the margarita into glasses filled with ice cubes.

For a smoother drink, use a fine mesh strainer; otherwise, serve as-is for added texture.
