Chocolate Cake Delight
Every slice is a taste of bliss! This rich and moist chocolate cake is perfect for celebrating moments big and small!
Ingredients:
– 2 large eggs
– 1 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 cup boiling water
– 1 cups granulated sugar
– cup unsweetened cocoa powder
– cup vegetable oil
– 1 cup whole milk
– cup heavy cream
– 1 tsp baking soda
– 1 tsp salt
– 2 tsp vanilla extract
– 1 tsp baking powder
– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
– 3 cups powdered sugar
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350F 175C. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans to ensure easy removal after baking.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well to blend all the dry ingredients evenly.
3. Add in the eggs, whole milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry mixture. Beat on medium speed for about 2 minutes until everything is well combined and smooth.
4. Carefully stir in the boiling water. The batter will be very thin, but this will give the cake its moistness!
5. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
6. Once baked, allow the cakes to cool in the pans for about 10 minutes. Then, gently transfer them to wire racks to cool completely.
7. For the frosting, start by beating the softened butter in a bowl until its creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar and cocoa powder, mixing until combined.
8. Pour in the heavy cream and vanilla. Beat the mixture until its smooth and fluffy, creating a rich and delectable chocolate frosting.
9. To assemble the cake, place one layer of cake on a serving plate. Spread a generous amount of frosting on top, then carefully place the second layer on top. Frost the top and the sides of the cake for a beautiful finish.
