Chocolate Cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
1 Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
2 In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
3 Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
4 In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
5 Stir in the chocolate chips.
6 Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and place them onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
7 Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are set. The centers may look slightly soft, but they will firm up as they cool.
8 Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
