Homemade Breakfast Sausage

Ingredients:

1 lb ground chicken or turkey

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tsp ground sage

1/2 tsp ground thyme

1/4 tsp nutmeg

1/2 tsp paprika


1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes optional, for spice

1 tbsp maple syrup optional, for sweetness

Instructions:

1 In a large bowl, combine ground chicken or turkey and all the seasonings. Mix thoroughly until well blended.

2 Form the mixture into small patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter.

3 Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side, or until fully cooked through.

4 Serve warm with your favorite breakfast dishes or freeze for later use.
