Ingredients:
1 cup cooked brown rice
2 cups milk dairy or plant-based
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
1/4 cup chopped nuts e.g., almonds, walnuts
1/4 cup dried fruit e.g., raisins, cranberries
Fresh fruit for topping e.g., bananas, berries
Instructions:
1 In a medium saucepan, combine cooked brown rice, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
2 Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for about 5-10 minutes, allowing the rice to absorb the milk and become creamy.
3 Stir in honey or maple syrup for sweetness.
4 Serve topped with chopped nuts, dried fruit, and fresh fruit for extra flavor.
