Baked Ziti

Ingredients:

1 lb ziti pasta

1 jar 24 oz marinara sauce

1 cup ricotta cheese

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 egg

1 tsp dried basil

1 tsp dried oregano


Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

1 Preheat your oven to 375F 190C.

2 Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

3 In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 1 cup mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

4 Add the cooked ziti pasta and marinara sauce to the ricotta mixture. Toss to combine.

5 Transfer the pasta mixture to a greased baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese evenly on top.

6 Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is golden and bubbly.

7 Serve warm and enjoy!
