Golden Rum Cake

A rich, moist cake with a flavorful rum glaze, perfect for special occasions!

Ingredients:

1 box yellow cake mix

1 pkg 3.4 oz instant vanilla pudding mix

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1/2 cup dark rum

4 large eggs

1/2 cup chopped pecans optional

1/4 cup butter

1/2 cup dark rum

1/4 cup water


1 cup sugar

1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 325F 165C. Grease a bundt pan and sprinkle with chopped pecans if desired.

In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, pudding mix, water, oil, rum, and eggs.

Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan.

Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

While the cake is baking, prepare the rum glaze. In a saucepan, melt the butter, then add rum, water, sugar, and vanilla. Bring to a boil and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

Once the cake is done, let it cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pan.

While the cake is still warm, pour the rum glaze over it, allowing it to soak in.

Let it cool completely before serving. Enjoy the sweetness and richness!
