For the Topping
8 oz whipped topping
1/4 cup chopped pecans for garnish
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Crust
Preheat the oven to 350F 175C.
In a medium bowl, combine the cold butter, flour, and chopped pecans. Use a pastry cutter or fork to mix until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish to form the crust.
Bake for 1012 minutes, or until lightly golden. Cool completely before adding the next layer.
Step 2: Prepare the Cream Cheese Layer
In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
Gently fold in the whipped topping until fully incorporated.
Spread this mixture evenly over the cooled crust.
Step 3: Prepare the Butterscotch Pudding Layer
In another bowl, whisk together the cold milk and instant butterscotch pudding mix for about 2 minutes until thickened.
Spread the pudding evenly over the cream cheese layer.
Step 4: Top and Chill
Spread the remaining whipped topping over the pudding layer.
Garnish with chopped pecans for extra texture and flavor.
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the layers to set completely.
Serve chilled and enjoy this irresistibly creamy, crunchy delight!
