3-Ingredient Butter Cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup 225g unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup 100g granulated sugar
2 cups 250g all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract optional
Instructions:
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350F 175C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cream Butter and Sugar:
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes. If using vanilla, add it now and mix well.
Add Flour:
Gradually add the flour to the butter mixture, mixing until the dough just comes together.
Shape the Cookies:
Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Flatten each ball gently with the back of a fork to create a crisscross pattern.
Bake:
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
